October's Shopping Hauls ❤

shop·a·hol·ic

\ˌshä-pə-ˈhȯ-lik, -ˈhä-\: a person who likes to shop very much

I love shopping hauls!

Which girl doesn't? Unless she doesn't fancy shopping, then it's understandable
but I'm guessing majority do? *wink*

For this month's shopping hauls, there's gonna be many items from Cotton On. It has become my place to hunt for bargains. The awesome part? ALL for RM15 only!

Chiffon B&W top

Girls can't have enough of shoes

  Latest love, neon colors!
Shine bright with a neon

Le mommy's and my shoe addiction!~
Hint: Less than RM10

All of them are from Cotton On (above). I've also gotten their panties. 5 for RM30. Now, who wouldn't go for that? Material's good, pretty comfy if you buy the right size. Even if you bought a size smaller, fret not. It would still be okay, unlike some which will cause you the muffin top/bulges around the hip and butt areas. Btw, their designs are super cute!

Now this pretty thing is from H&M. RM19 only. Smallest size they had was US 6, usually I would prefer a size 4 but it's okay. Still fits good.

It's like a light peachy pink

Next bargain is from an online boutique, ASOC. I was browsing through their Sales album and something caught my eyes.

I love sexy back dresses. Somehow it gives that classic way of being sexy
without needing to expose too much.

The service was good as they were very efficient and material's up to expectations. One thing though, it was a little loose for me on the top part. I'm more of a slender figured person rather than a curvy babe. But frets not, I'll be doing some DIY on it to fit me well.

I have something else that I bought online but have yet to receive it so, I guess that's it for this month's hauls.
And I was thinking of doing a weekly/monthly OOTDs, ways to match one outfit with many options.
What do you think?

ps: Will do a review on some makeup soon (:
Till then..

Much loves, xoxo.

Mr and Ms?

For foodies whom are active in Instagram, I'm sure you have seen or heard the name of Mr and Ms cafe?

One of my dearest friends is currently doing his internship there. I was planning to drop by for a visit but mainly because I want to try their food. Been seeing posts about this place for sometime, was wondering what's all the hype about. I dropped by before with mommy last weekend but the crowd in the queuing line was crazy. Ended up in Bad Boy Cooks, some old American diner concept.

This place is pretty awesome. The food was good and price was reasonable, RECOMMENDED (:

Okay, let's get back to Mr and Ms.
The night before, I had ask my friend which food is recommended. His list:
1. The Egg Atlantic
2. Butterscotch Pancakes
3. Meaty Big Breakfast

Upon looking at the menu, the boyfie said,"I think I know what you'll order. The big breakfast isn't it?".
Hahaa, he reads my mind well. Or should I say, he knows me well enough (:
I wanted to try the pancakes, so we ended up ordering:
1. Meaty Big Breakfast
2. Butterscotch Pancakes
3. Summer Cheesecake
4. Earl Grey and Orange Juice

Lovely decor
Breakfast for a boss
Summer cheesecake

My verdict?
Ambiance: 4 / 5
Food: 4.5 / 5
Price: Reasonable
Service: *thumbs up*
Queue to get a table: Crazy on weekends, after 12.15pm
RECOMMENDED

Btw, I love the surroundings at Oasis Square.

To add-on into our already bloated tummies, we went to Wondermilk at Citta mall to fix some sweettooth cravings before watching 'Escape Plan'.

Managed to steal a quick shot, he's camera shy ;p

'Escape Plan' was great. Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, thumbs up for you guys. I was pretty satisfied with the whole movie. Although it was purely fictional, I was still wow-ed by their characters' minds, the way they observe and think about the whole 'escape plan'. *big applause*

The last meal of the day? Mix grilled platter for 2 and some beer at Brussels. No photo for this one :(

Awesome day spent with fat cat boyfriend, wish that time stops at that moment..

Shall be posting my October's hauls VERY VERY SOON. Do drop by my blog to get the updates!
Some selca from the day

Look like a girl, act like a lady. Think like a man, work like a boss!

Glam Them Up ❤

Being a shopaholic, I can't resist bargains. It's not an excuse, more like it's in my genes! :D
(an excuse to cover up excuses)

These are in my October's hauls. Will post that up soon, was waiting till end of the month (:

So... They do looked a tad plain right? Don't get me wrong, I do love plain stuffs too, just that at times,
I love to be my own glam guru and DIY my stuffs.

The product chosen for this post, one of the sandals!

What do you need?
1. Super strong glue and tweezers
You can get the glue from hardware stores. Just tell them you want the liquid type of "elephant glue".
It only cost me RM2.

2. Any jewelries or accessories as your glam tools.
For me, I have my secret stash (:

3. Your pair of sandals or shoes, of course.
I've chosen the pink one.

Step 1: Play around with the beads, select your colors and shapes.
Step 2: Try them on the shoes and choose the ones which suit best.
Step 3: Place them in various ways and patterns till you are satisfied.
OR
You can start sticking them on randomly and go with the flow of your creativity

Randomly placing the beads

Step 4: Use the tweezers to grab the beads to stick them on.
(This is to avoid the beads from sticking to your fingers if the glue overflowed)

Follow all of the steps above and waaahlaaa!~
You have your own version of glammed up sandals, one of a kind created by yours truly (:

Makan Spots in Klang

So, most of the time I would go somewhere far far away to have an awesome meal. When I say "far", it's either somewhere in KL or further up such as Publika. And when I say "awesome meal", I mean some good food. I  love eating!

Good food is good for the tummy

Recently, I've noticed some new eateries in Klang, some which I would recommend, some are just so-so.
Let the listing begin.
1. Primo's cafe (Bandar Botanic, close to Domino's)

Highly talked about when it first opened. A great chill out place at night with friends for some gossip session. They have a pool table on the second floor but be prepared to smell like cigarette smoke as it's a smoking zone. Food and beverage ranging from snacks to main courses and coffee to chillers. They now added "shisha" to their menu. Both outdoor and indoor seats.

2. Juicy Bar &  Grill (Opposite of Hometown)

This is one place which not many will notice. Usually I don't too as it looked quite creepy from the exterior of the building, looked as though it's some secluded pub. I came to realize this place when one day my mom saw one of their lunch deals and decided to give it a try since we don't know where and what to eat. As the saying goes, "do not judge a book by its cover". The interior is pretty lovely and they have electronic darting machine. Food and beverage are good with reasonable price. Recommended.

3. Coffee Ink (Same row as Primo's)

One of the new buzz in Klang. This is what I called a proper coffee house which serves you beverages that's worth the money you pay for. And the most awesome part? They have crepe cakes! No need to travel all the way to Nadeje for decent crepe cakes anymore. Love the simple yet artsy interior, the place is filled with the smell of coffee and chit-chats. The bad news? They are closed on Mondays and opens only till 11pm, not a place for night owls. Recommended.

4. Tai Lei Loi Kei Pork Chop Bun (Bukit Tinggi)

First visit, too crowded, no seats available. Second visit, still crowded but there's seats available, decided to queue and try it out. So, I ordered their rice set that comes with the famous Macau pork chop together with a bowl of curry, a fried egg and a drink while my mom ordered the noodles set which includes the pork chop and a drink. Both of us ordered the milk tea. This is a self-service eatery where you queue up and make your order, then wait till your number on the receipt is up to collect your food. The pork chop is nicely marinated so it taste good, curry taste like Indian curry, milk tea was awesome but the rice and noodles were dry. The only thing that I dislike was there is no other side dishes. All you eat is the pork chop with your rice or noodles till one point you couldn't eat anymore and not because you are full but you got "jelak" with the taste. Worth for price? I would say so-so.

5. Burgerland (Bukit Tinggi)

Since the existence of Burger Lab, there were burger places popping out here and there.
The last one that I went was Crayon Burger in SS15, where the bread are of different colors and the colors are given randomly. You can have your selection of burger patty and I must say, this place is pretty good. Taste good and there's no crazy queue as Burger Lab.

Forgotten what's the name of the burgers we ordered.
If you want instant updates on places to eat, follow me on Instagram (:
They have cute designs at Burgerland though.

The first time I went, they were sold out of chicken, only left with fish fillet. Then I realized, they only sell chicken and fish, no sign of beef or lamb. That was the first disappointment. Yet, it got me thinking, maybe their current products are good enough to exclude beef and lamb.

So, today I got the chance to drop by again and I ordered their Chicky Chick.
A combo of grilled chicken, fried chicken and fried egg. Added cash to get it in a set that comes with their curly fries and a drink (refillable).

Tadaaa!~

Looks yummy isn't it?
I thought so too..

As I bite the burger filled with anticipation, although I couldn't fit the whole thing..
I was actually pretty disappointed. Both of the patties, grilled and fried, were dry, VERY DRY.
I expected juicy patties since it took a while for them to serve my burger and there weren't many customers at that time. Plus, it wasn't even warm. The grilled one was actually nicely marinated if you were to eat it without the bread or else it just lost its taste and as for the fried one, eating too much makes you bored. Even KFC can do better. The fries were good but they could lessen the seasoning, it was a little salty for me.

Overall experience?
I would prefer to travel to Subang for Crayon Burger or rather queue in line 45 minutes for Burger Lab.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

So, that's my list for now. If you like this post, do leave a comment.
Tell me which area you'll like me to post about. Bangsar perhaps? (:

Mommy & Daddy ❤

Few months back...

Some plan was discussed in secrecy. It's so top secret that any communication is only through Kakao Talk. Not a word can be leaked to others or all else fails.

The top secret...

How to celebrate the parents' birthday. When I said parents, I meant parentS. Dad and mom were so lucky enough to find someone who has the same date birthday as each other, October 20. Rare case I would say. And to top up to the amazement, their birthdays falls on my maternal side's grandparent's wedding anniversary! SUPER DUPER AWESOMENESS!~

So, le brother went and booked a room with two tables for 24 of us at Restaurant Taman Rashna for the celebration dinner. It's been a while since I last ate there. Coincidence, someone was having their wedding dinner there too, pretty crowded night. Mom, dad and I got there a little late than the rest. VIPs supposed to arrive fashionably late right? But of course we did not do that on purpose.

Started with some karaoke session while waiting for the food. La la la, bla bla bla~~ Food comes but the karaoke session continues in between. The men drank till their faces turned lobster red, pretty funny scene. My cousin was pretending to be Elvis Presley and aunts and grandma were enjoying the karaoke with mom. Everyone was having fun and it was nice. I love family gatherings like this, whether random or planned, it's a blessing to be able to gather everyone under one roof and enjoy each other's company.

So sad that we didn't get to take a whole family photo :(

Love the poster from le silly brother, so cute (:

Shall end this post with a little note ~

Dad and mom, being a typical Asian family, we don't do all the hugs, kisses and 'I love you(s)..

But rest assured, I'll always be your little girl who will love, cherish and take care of you both ❤

Much loves, xoxo.

Common Courtesy

People these days are so attached to their technology devices, checking them gazillion times every hour. Updates are so efficiently passed on, fingers will be so busy tapping on them till numb BUT one thing is missing..

the courtesy to REPLY others.

My friend came complaining to me one day," I already pm-ed them on Facebook and all had seen my messages but no one replies :( ".

That is one MAJOR PROBLEM with social medias and people nowadays. Social media, why? Because they came up with this "brilliant" idea of 'last seen' and people? Being jerks for not replying. This is utterly annoying when it comes to urgent or formal matters. I would totally understand if the person was busy at the time you called or texted but do have the courtesy to at least reply the other person even if you do not return the call.

Another situation? When the person leaves you hanging there and goes to sleep. Okay, so you are very tired/sleepy and you just need to KO straight away. Just type three alphabets, "gtg" (got to go). Is it that hard that it'll suck dry your energy? Imagine the other person who stays up and waits for your reply.

3rd situation? When someone texts you to inform something or asks for a favor. If you have seen the message but being too much of a sloth to reply, I think even replying a "k" (okay) would be so much better than replying nothing. At least the other party would know that you have taken note of it.

All in all, I just want to say.. Next time before you ignore another person's message, do put yourself into the other person's shoes. How would you feel when someone ignores you? Especially when it's related to something important. And even if you don't mind being seen as rude, at least have respect towards the other person.

*It would be totally understandable if you want to ignore someone who's SUPER DUPER ANNOYING that SPAMS NONSENSE
but
do be considerate towards other innocent humans k? (:

Just a random thought and PSA for all texting lovers!
Have an awesome weekend!

Much loves, xoxo.

Bangkok, Land of Smiles (Part IV)

Day 4
After that whole taxi drama, we took a nice shower and then dress up for another nightout. This time, we went to Asiatique The Riverfront. Apparently it's the new "IN" place now in Bangkok and it's a MUST VISIT tourists' spot. Initially, I thought it's just another shopping place such as Platinum mall, but it's not. It's an outdoor area with food, shops for shopping and entertainments.

There's two ways you can get there:
1, by boat across the Chao Phraya River.
2, by taxi.

First thing to do when we got there, EAT. So, we looked at the directory and there's a whole list of restaurants ranging from Thailand food to Western and etc. After staring for 5 minutes, we decided to roam around and look at the menus instead.

We settled down at this restaurant, Yum Saap. There was already a waiting line when we entered and while waiting, we screened through the menu to hunt for a dish each. Since it's our last night in Bangkok, we decided to go all out. EVERYTHING SPICY and FAMOUS. As quoted by my friend, "My butthole will burn during toilet visits". Well, it's our last night here, why not? So...

Tom yam, green curry, pineapple fried rice, padthai, all Thai, you name it.
We ordered 7 dishes for 4 people, it's crazy. We all left with bloated tummies pregnant with food.

My review of this place:
Food: 4.5 / 5
Ambience: 4 / 5
Service: 4 / 5
Price: Reasonable

After all that food, we went around for a little shopping. I absolutely love this place! Decided to visit there again if I were to go Bangkok again someday.

Reasons to visit?
1. It's BEAUTIFUL
2. A lot of eating places
3. A bunchful of unique things can be found / to buy
4. I just love this place

Found this cute little sheep made of soap, milky flavor.

Sheeps FTW~
Why am I the photographer? :(

We even went for a 4D movie. Didn't know which one was good and we girls didn't want horror stuff except for the boyfie, so we ask the person to recommend the most adventurous one. It was very short, around 7 minutes or so? I wouldn't recommend it as I didn't really feel much thrill, all I did was laughing non-stop at my friends because they were screaming non-stop. Good tummy exercise though.

Day 5
Being girls, three of us woke up super early again to go to the Pratunam morning market for one last bargain hunt. Left the boyfie sleeping at the hotel since he couldn't do much shopping as mostly are girls' stuff. Later that morning, after done packing and checking out, we hit Khao San Road where Hangover 2 was filmed. Apparently it's very happening in the evening and night but we didn't have the time.

There's not much shopping as most of the stuff are repetitive from store to store and things are quite pricey. Only bought 2 tops and a dress for me girlfriend. The fruit juices were good though for the price you pay.

End of the day, my shopping stash?

All of the above plus the other small things like my shoes and accessories. Consider okay right? Actually I think I should have shop more. *greedy me*

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

All in all, it was fun visiting both Krabi and Bangkok.
A whole new experience visiting with friends and without a tour guide. The last I visited was years ago.
Hope you all had fun reading this!

Much loves, xoxo.

Bye-bye Bangkok, till we meet again (:

Scary Taxi Drivers in Bangkok!

Now that I've got your attention, I'll post about the famous Safari World in Bangkok! Worry not, I'll still talk about the scary taxi driver experience later, it happened right after our trip to Safari World.

So, they have two parts in the Safari World, one, the Safari Park where you'll be caged in the bus and go for a ride while the animals roam in the wild. And two, the Marine Park which consists of all the animal shows and exhibitions.

We only bought tickets to the Marine Park as that's where all the excitements are and we didn't want to waste extra money for the 30-minutes ride. Furthermore, with all the animal shows in-line, it'll take us a whole day to see everything.

I couldn't resist their adorableness (:

1st show on the list, the Orang Utan show

Then there were the sea lion show, bird show, dolphin show, and many more. I didn't take a lot of photos as I was trying to enjoy the shows instead of watching from behind the camera. I did took a few videos and tried to upload them but I don't know why I'm having error uploading them :(
(I will post them up in my Youtube channel once I compile them)

Best part, they have a POLAR BEAR!
When I saw it, I turned to my boyfriend and said,"Look, they have you here. How sweet!". This is because I always teased him of being a polar bear (he'll melt in hot weather, even the slightest heat).

One thing that I missed out was the walrus. They're only shown to the public till 4pm and by the time we got to that area, it was already 4 something :(

Before leaving, we went to the "Giraffe Feeding Terrace" to feed some
hungry-tongue-sticking-out-for-food awkwardly tall cuties.
A bucket of bananas for 50THB if not mistaken.

I want one as a pet

Something at the corner caught my eyes, it was a coin machine.
This is how is works:
1. You put the amount of coins needed to operate the machine.
(this includes the coin needed to be flatten)
2. Choose the pattern that you fancy.
3. Wait for a minute and tadaaaa! You'll have your lovely souvenir
(It cost ONLY 30THB)

I really love these machines as it can produce a one-of-a-kind souvenir that could last you forever instead of a common keychain or postcards.
I gotten one too while in Singapore from The Flyer (:

So, after all the animal loving moments and a lot of sweat dripping from the extremely hot weather, we went to grab a taxi to head back to our hotel.
*TIP: It is hard to get a decent taxi there that uses meter as the place is pretty secluded and they'll take the advantage to charge you a fixed rate which is totally overpriced.

This is where the taxi drama begins...
After asking several taxis, we finally found one which agrees to use the meter. So, we quickly hop onto the taxi to escape from the heat. Half way through the journey, the taxi driver said something like,"I'll have to charge you an extra 50THB because I waited at the entrance for customers".
(We weren't sure what was it exactly because he was speaking in a very broken English and uses a lot of Thai words but it was something along that line.)

We couldn't really catch what he was trying to say so we just told him that we don't understand and did not agree to it. When I realised he wanted to charge an extra 50THB onto our metered rate, my friends and I agreed not to give him any extra other than the rate showed by the meter. It's not that we were being unreasonable, it's because..
1. He agreed to use the meter before we got up into the car.
2. Why would you suddenly charge an extra amount after driving us half way?
I mean we would gladly pay that amount if it was agreed by both parties before we got into the car, not AFTER. It felt more like we were cheated off our money rather than paying for what we "supposed" to.

So, we didn't want to pay him the extra when we arrived at the hotel and he demanded for it. My boyfriend being the man confronted him nicely and asked why is he charging us an extra only after we gotten into his car and what does it gotta do with us that he was waiting at the entrance for customers. Isn't that what taxi drivers do? Wait for customers to have a ride. He couldn't answer us yet he was demanding for the extra cash again and again. We got off the car and he threaten us that he'll wait outside of our hotel until we pay that extra 50THB. We didn't bother and went into the hotel lobby. After a whole 10minutes, he left but he complaint to the bell boy which then told the receptionist. We told our side of the story and his advice was..
"Just be careful of the taxi drivers, not the metered taxis".

Will be posting about the lovely night at Asiatique The Riverfront in the next post.
Bonne nuit!

Hong Kong (Part 2): Dim Sum and Ocean Park

Oh boy, there goes my procrastination and half a year has passed since I made up my mind to comeback to the world of blogging. Many things ...
